Thanksgiving 2011

My beautiful daughter, Erica and the pumpkin her son, Tiylor made for Thanksgiving.

My brother, Cole, myself, his wife, Lisa at Nana Dee’s on Thanksgiving.

Their boys, Brandon and Nicholas.

Tiylor Frith, Erica’s son attacking his Thanksgiving Day treat.

My girls and I. Erica and Rhea. Rhea wasn’t actually mad, her sweety, Travis, was playing around with her camera. We laughed so hard through that, He probably took a good 5 or 6 pictures ūüėõ

Such a wonderful day and soul restoring. How can it be any better when surrounded by family and loved ones other than having the ones there that were in other states?

Breaking Dawn draws $30 million at midnight | Reuters

Breaking Dawn draws $30 million at midnight | Reuters.

I was on of the millions that attended the midnight viewing and really enjoyed the crowd.  7/10 ths of the crowd were Mothers & Daughters and/or groups of girls. There was also a fair percentage of guys & gals.

The mass exodus was even orderly and most of what I observed in the parking lot was a kind of organized “merging” to exit the several¬†acres of full parking lot that held the cars from 20 THEATERS, no less!

There were no persons with flash lights keeping us “nice” either. ¬†I think the major factor was that when we decided to go to the midnight showings we as a “group” accepted that there were going to be crazy crowds and just decided to put some good music in the CD deck and be patient?

I noticed that if people weren’t listening to music they were texting, tweeting,¬†updating¬†Facebook¬†or generally¬†having rather animated conversations.

I read some of the reviews. ¬†I have no idea how those people stay employed, I mean REALLY! ¬†Did they even read/watch any of the previous works? And if they did are they so jaded that they can’t even appreciate how others might have enjoyed the movie without having to throw in that one nasty barb? ¬†What’s wrong with these people, Hell!, I’m 50, not a Cougar and very much enjoyed it. I thought the “effects” were in keeping with the book, Thank you Ms. Myers.

I didn’t like the idea of there being two “last” movies either, but agree that it would be¬†necessary to be able to keep the details in. ¬†Why shouldn’t she, they, make more money, it’s still a free market, last I heard.

Ok, enough ranting about bitter reviewers that probably missed the boat to stardom and take it out on others that “made” it to the dock on time ¬† ¬†ūüėČ

OMG! Or more like me, “Crud Maynard!”

LOL, no really, I have just seen the date on my last post ūüėõ

I have some pics of the work I did that day and then I ran off¬†to North Carolina to visit my Son’s family and the GRAND BABIES. ¬†Who knew they, grand babies that is, could ¬†be so much fun? ¬†I have always loved playing with Hot Wheels and Jude, Jacques’ eldest son does too, insert big grin here. We had so much fun.

Then I drove over to Tennessee to hang out with my Dad’s fourth ex-wife. ¬†Confused yet, lol. ¬†Nah, all wives are kept in the family except the first one and that was because only my Mother, the second ex-wife, knew her and that was “many moons ago”. She spoke well of her, but that was all. ¬†Daddy got to see their two girls before he passed away, but the sneaky devil set it up so none of the rest of the family got to meet them. ¬†I would have loved to REALLY have an older sister or even two. ¬†So for now I remain the eldest “acknowledged” offspring.

Anyway, I need to get some of those pictures up here or you could check out my Facebook page under Kathleen Elders Valentin. The pressure washing and some of the work I’ve done will probably show up here though.

Ok enough rambling for now, NCSI and NCSI LA will be on soon and I have more Crocheting and Knitting to finish. I may not be a Christian, but the rest of my family participates in the Holiday so I have some serious work left before we get there and I won’t even be in the state!
